Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Twenty-nine students from the Class of 2017 who received diplomas at Southern Vermont College's (SVC) recent Commencement Exercises on May 13 also celebrated the support they received from the TRIO Program, the Federal outreach and student service support program which provides services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Colby-Sawyer College chapter of this national honor society recognizes the academic achievement of juniors and seniors. To be eligible for membership a student must rank in the top ten percent of the junior or senior class and demonstrate the Alpha Chi values of truth and character.
Baccalaureate awards are presented to the graduating students in each baccalaureate program who are selected by the faculty for their interest and excellence within the major. Recipients must be full-time students and have completed at least 50 percent of their credits for graduation while attending Colby-Sawyer.
The Plato Prize is awarded to a student with the best essay in philosophy during the academic year and is sponsored by Castleton's Philosophy Department and Chief Academic Officer. The competition is open to all Castleton students.
After finishing second in the North Atlantic Conference and earning a bye into the NAC Tournament semifinals, the Castleton University men's lacrosse team placed seven players on the various All-NAC postseason squads, as the results of the voting from the eight league coaches were announced Tuesday.

As the student government of Castleton, the SGA represents the interests of Castleton students.
